Antique Barber Chair

This Antique Chair was sold recently on eBay – and I love the idea that when you are buying an antique you are buying a slice of history.  According to the auction listing,

THIS CHAIR IS A SHOW STOPPER

EVERYONE THAT HAS COME INTO THE STORE WANTS TO KNOW WHAT IT IS AND THE HISTORY.

NO AMERICAN COLLECTION OF THE OLD WEST IS COMPLETE WITHOUT THIS CHAIR.

REDONE WITH ATTENTION TO DETAIL. IN EXCELLENT CONDITION, BUT THE HEADREST IS MISSING.THIS CHAIR WOULD HAVE BEEN IN TOMBSTONE WHEN WYATT EARP WAS SHERRIF. A GREAT PIECE OF ARIZONA HISTORY. PLEASE EMAIL WITH ANY QUESTIONS. LOCAL PICKUP ONLY.

Even now, it makes me shiver to think that I could have bought something with such a link back to the “Wild West”.
